Job Description

The Assistant Manager will work alongside the General Manager and the Cheezed Management team to assist with the oversight of all Restaurant Operations, as well as the Supervision and motivation of Employees while on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare the restaurant for daily operation and closing duties, as required.

2. Motivate team members and assist/provide direction to the General Manager with the scheduling of staff.

3. Lead by example and ensure staff are following store policies and procedures.

4. Service customer orders with the highest degree of service.

5. Manage inventory supply (dry storage, fridges, freezers, etc.).

6. Place weekly supply orders (3 times per week).

7. Prepare the restaurant for closing, as required.

8. On-call for call-in’s and sick days. To be paid at the full-time rate (coordinated with GM).

9. Assist the General Manager with any duties required

10. Act as second point of contact for staff and owners

Qualifications:

1. Time management

2. Ability to lead a team effectively

3. Experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Blue Mountain Village experience is considered an asset.

Education & Experience:

1. Grade 12 education or equivalent

2. Preference given to formal restaurant training

3. Food Handling Certificate
