Job Overview

Blue Mountain Village Association is an award-winning marketing, events, and destination development organization recognized as a leader in the tourism industry. We’re now hiring an experienced Marketing Coordinator to help us keep growing.

Responsibilities for Marketing Coordinator

∙ Support the marketing and events department’s initiatives with planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, contesting, and content marketing

∙ Coordinate photography, video, and data asset management

∙ Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring a consistent voice

∙ Develop content and grow social media calendars

∙ Maintain and edit Association websites

∙ Liaise with Events Team in a cross-functional role to ensure ambassadors/events staff are kept abreast of in-market plans

∙ Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports

∙ Manage relationships with external vendors and members to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs

∙ Conduct market research and identify trends

This position requires the successful candidate to work daily on-site at our Office and within the Village located in the Town of Blue Mountains, Ontario.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for Marketing Coordinator

∙ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field

∙ 1-3 years of experience in marketing

∙ Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail

∙ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills

∙ A firm grasp of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing. Proficiency in MS Office, Canva, Adobe, and Crowdriff is an asset

∙ Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

∙ Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports

∙ Must have a high level of creativity
