Work Hours:

Monday-Friday; with ability and willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends; work flexible hours.
 

Wage:

$20.00/hour

Job Description

 Botden Orchards Ltd. is seeking an experienced Farm Equipment Operator to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of farming equipment including:
    • Tractors 20-300 hp
    • Sprayers
    • Fertilizer spreaders
    • Mowers
    • Tillage equipment
    • Planting and seeding equipment
    • Large snow removal equipment
    • GPS systems
    • Forklifts
    • Loaders
    • Vehicles
  • Applying fertilizer and pesticides to apple crops using advanced equipment
  • Maintaining orchard records
  • Carrying out general orchard operations using a variety of machinery and tools
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
 

Qualifications:

 Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience operating farm equipment
  • Numeracy skills
  • A concern for safety
  • Interactive communication
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Heavy equipment operation experience
  • Ability to work well both independently and with others

Conditions of Employment:

  • Valid G license (AZ preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, work flexible hours
  • Ability to lift and carry a 25kg load for 50 meters
 

Vaccination Policy:

 COVID-19 vaccinations preferred but not required
