General Labourer – Summer Student

Job Description

Cardlock

• Check all nozzles / hoses / dispensers / whips / swivels
• Wipe down nozzles, pumps, hoses and displays
• Drain overflow / drip container as required
• Check inside of dispenser cabinets
• Shovel & salt yard as required
• Empty garbage bins / general clean-up
• Check wind washer fluid / paper towel
• Walk around of yard to ensure nothing seems out of place
• Dip and record oil water separator.  Pump down as required. Submit weekly results
• Check water outlet for sheen or any other product
• Receipt paper in cardlock
• Refresh Cardlock Directories on top of card reader.
• Complete walking daily / weekly / Monthly inspection forms.  Create timelines for deficiencies to be completed.
• Maintain / service bulk plant / cardlock.
• Dispose of Spoiled containers appropriately (DEF / Washer Fluid) Etc.

Office

• Empty all garbage cans
• Vacuum office / mop office area
• Clean bathroom ( sink, toilet, mirror )
• Check / restock toilet paper / paper towel as need
• Restock display in front office

Lube deliveries

• Check bulletin board for lube deliveries to be completed
• Make lube deliveries
• Review customer needs and products
• Check what is going out.  Put away remaining items for stock.
• Check inventory weekly / monthly

Warehouse

• Ensure all dirty rags are disposed of property
• Ensure all emergency exits are clear of clutter
• Ensure all product is put in appropriate area
• Maintenance required inventory
• Organize & Clean

Prepare for next day or future jobs

• Collect and place all product required for next day installs / delivery in designated area.

Vehicles

• Wash and clean up company fleet

Off site repairs

• Maintain (paint / sticker), repair and replace loaned equipment.  (PMH)
• Set-up equipment (Fuel / DEF / Lubricant / LP)
• Assist HVAC Technicians: LP tank installations and various HVAC installations & repair.

Inventory of equipment

• Maintain inventory of equipment (Storage tanks / pumps / nozzles / Hose / DEF Equipment Etc.) in yard.
• Keep record of equipment status.  Repair / refurbish

Duties and responsibilities may change or be altered time to time.

Qualifications:

• 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must have valid class G drivers license
• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal record check required
• Self motivated, focused and eager to learn and succeed
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be returning to secondary school or post-secondary education in September
