Job Title:

First Cook
 

Work Hours:

Contract length: 4 months

Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

 

Wage:

$23 per hour

Additional pay: bonus pay

Job Description

A Cook, or Line Cook, is responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of hydraulics and machinery.

1-2 years’ experience in ski area operations an asset.

Previous mechanical and general maintenance experience.

Strong knowledge mechanical applications.

Must hold a current, valid driver’s license.

Must be flexible in work schedule including occasional nights.

Must be prepared to work in adverse conditions.

Skiing or Riding capabilities.

Essential Skills:

Team oriented with a desire to make a positive contribution to the Ski Club as a whole

Creative with strong troubleshooting skills

Experience with both small and large engine maintenance

Strong communication skills and job professionalism

Highly motivated, works well independently with minimal supervision

Can lead by example and represent the resort to employees, various suppliers, contractors and industry partners in an ethical and professional manner.
