Project Sales Glass Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role involves estimating glass jobs, including residential and commercial railings, curtain walls, storefronts, office partitions, and aluminum doors.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, analyzing blueprints/drawings, and collaborating with project managers to ensure that all aspects of the project are accounted for and accurate for a seamless installation and perfect client experience.

Duties

• Conduct detailed estimates for glass and glazing projects, including showers, railings, storefronts, curtain walls, and other commercial and residential applications.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine materials, labor, and other costs.
• Read blueprints and provide estimates based on room design, measurements and material selections.
• Provide outstanding customer service skills by being responsive (responding to emails and phone calls within 24 hours) with ALL clients providing knowledge and guidance as needed, and adjusting estimates as details change within the scope of the job.
• Provide accurate measurements and dimensions when measuring areas for/with glass including measuring tapes and laser measures.
• Provide detailed designs for clients in a timely manner that have all the required information (i.e. hardware size and colour, glass size, where the hinges will go) and are easily understood by the client.
• Provide estimates from our QBO system
• Build positive relationships with clients, builder partners and suppliers.
• Source materials when needed and have knowledge of current building codes and guidelines.
• A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge and skillset to grow and advance with the company

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of knowledge and experience with glass, commercial and residential railings, showers, sealed units, sales and installations
• Experience with glass design and measurement software
• General understanding of current building code
• Proven experience with glass design and measurement software
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to unforeseen situations
• Extensive understanding of construction methods and materials
