Candidate profile

  • Personally and professionally uphold and embrace SEC values

  • 5 years full time experience leading a high-performance team
  • Proven track record in driving best practice to improve productivity, value added public service and profitability in fee based human services delivery
  • Strong hands-on leadership skills and the ability to influence and persuade others internally and externally to the agency
  • High tolerance for change and ambiguity
  • Innovation focused and continuous improvement minded
  • Developed relationships with senior government administrators and elected leadership

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director of Access Services will be accountable for the oversite, development and growth of business operations and government service delivery service specializing in;

  • Newcomer and immigration services and supports
  • Multilingual communication and information services

The Senior Director of Access Services will;

  • Perform as a member of the executive leadership team (ELT) by bringing knowledge and experience to bear on strategy and business decisions involving all aspects of SEC and SECC operations.
  • Achieve agreed-upon operations Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage current Federal, Provincial and Municipal contracts.
  • Source and negotiate new government funding opportunities.
  • Develop and implement new business strategies with a for-profit focus.
  • Lead and develop a scalable team of operations experts to achieve targets and strategic goals
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational outputs.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
  • Conceive and implement demand-planning solutions.
  • Budget preparation and expense monitoring.
  • Collaborate across the sector with key external partners to help establish a service foundation that supports growth.
 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications

  • Legally able to work in Canada for a period of more than 2 years
  • Submission of Clear Vulnerable sector screen, and personal credit screen
  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle
  • Proof of full Covid vaccination

Skills and Qualifications

  • Canadian Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent or higher in a business or related public service field or the corresponding accumulated progressive experience
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding
  • Practical knowledge of immigration services
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent proposal writing skill.
  • Demonstrated competence in administering government service agreements in excess of 2 million dollars
  • Strong financial acumen to drive profitability and manage public funds to return maximum public value
