WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The primary responsibility of the Public Spaces Supervisor is to inspire and engage employees to provide Great Experiences for guests and fellow employees. This position is essential to the success of the Lodging Department, because it ensures that we are able to provide our internal and external customers with clean public spaces in the hotels and employee areas; including carpet and floor maintenance.  This Supervisor is responsible for auditing public spaces in the hotels, underground, base lodges, offices, and outlying facilities on resort.

  • Take primary responsibility for coaching and developing up to 40 Public Spaces Associates through audits, semi-annual performance appraisals, one-on one meetings, and regular communication, and recognition programs.
  • Promote BMR Health and Safety standards and initiatives, completing health and safety building audits, reporting and investigating incidents, managing staff on modified duties to assist them returning to pre-injury status.
  • Lead daily briefings, ensure team is prepared for the day with supplies and resources, and ensure that daily tasks are correctly assigned.  Also includes updating throughout the day and at the end of day to ensure correct task completion for follow-up and payroll purposes.
  • Training, mentoring, and developing Trainers and front-line staff

Qualifications:

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous leadership experience with a proven record of successful conflict management and strong interactions with guests and employees.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, MS Office required; knowledge of Property Management software
  • Using a motivational approach, must be able to coach, develop, mentor and recognize employees.
  • Successful candidates should be over the age of 21 and hold a valid ‘G’ licence; you may be requested to perform occasional duties that involve the operation of a company vehicle, including guest shuttling or supplying outlying Condos with linen/supplies.
