This role is a hybrid work-from-home role. Candidates must be flexible to attend critical meetings at our home office located at 40 Sandford Fleming Road, Collingwood, ON L9Y 4V7.

Isowater® is a clean technology company and leading global supplier of deuterium oxide (D2O), shipping tens of thousands of kilograms of D2O per year. We specialize in global shipping and bulk delivery of deuterium oxide products for the Life Sciences, High Technology and Environmental Science sectors. Since our founding in 2009, Isowater has assembled a flexible, skilled, and responsive customer support team. Our scientists and engineers offer leading laboratory and industrial expertise, including advanced analytical capabilities.

We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative reporting to the Sales Manager. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives and must be comfortable communicating with customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. Additionally, this role involves research and analytical responsibilities tied to sales and market information. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand our products, their potential uses and the customization of each sale, and analysis of the markets to support potential sales.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Market Research

  • Collect data on competitors and the marketplace and consolidate information into reports and presentations
  • Understand business objectives to discover prospective customers’ priorities and requirements
  • Work with key account managers and the science team for feedback and direction
  • Conduct analysis of collected data

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain and manage the functions of a cloud-based CRM platform
  • Manage leads and opportunities with key account managers
  • Generate reports as necessary for sales funnel and product forecasts
  • Work with an outside consultant for system customization as needed

Inbound Sales

  • Qualify new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and respond to inquiries promptly
  • Follow up on and process leads for smaller volume sales
  • Route qualified larger opportunities to key account managers
  • Maintain and track all leads, opportunities, and sales in CRM
  • Undertake customer satisfaction surveys, generate reports, and highlight challenges
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, billing, and credit departments


The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • College or other post-secondary education
  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Able to manage varying levels of ambiguity
  • You are a mature, self-starter who initiates solutions and suggests efficiencies
  • Must be able to work independently, take the initiative and follow-through
  • You are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Excel skills are a must
  • Able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and attention to detail are critical
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible and open to change
  • Occasional flex work outside of normal office hours to ensure international customers relations are maintained
  • Can travel internationally on rare occasion
  • Must have a valid passport and have must have the ability to travel without barriers

The following would be considered strong assets:

  • Science background
  • Experience working with MS Dynamics or similar CRM (salesforce, etc.)
  • Experience communicating with customers whose first language is not English
  • Fluent in additional languages such as Mandarin, French, German
  • International sales experience
  • International shipping and logistics
