EarlyON Facilitator/Kids Club After School Program On-Site Supervisor

EarlyON – 15 hrs/week; Kids Club – 15 hrs/week

EarlyON:

• Implement interactive programs for parents/caregivers and their children up to 6 years of age indoors and outdoors
• Role modeling play based learning
• Provide information and referrals
• Statistical reporting, newsletter, monthly calendar, Facebook page management

Kids Club After School Program:

• Supporting After School Program at Beaver Valley Community School, indoors and outdoors according to CCEYA (Child Care and Early Years Act)
• Role modeling play based learning

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE); Child & Youth; Recreation & Leisure or Primary Education Degree
• Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
• Current First Aid Certificate, WHMIS, AODA, Food Handlers training and Health & Safety (BVO willing to train)

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Enthusiastic, supportive, encouraging, resourceful and creative
• Organized and efficient
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• An understanding of “How Does Learning Happen” and ELECT document
• Previous experience working with young children and parents an asset
