Job Title:  Sales Associate 
Work Hours: 

 

 25 hours per week – must be available to work weekends

Ideal schedule will be Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, with another half day during the week

Some flexibility available
Wage:  $21.00 per hour to start with & review after 3 months
Anticipated Start Date:  As soon as possible
Location:  Collingwood, ON 
Job Description:  

 

 This position begins at approximately 25 hours per week. We are seeking someone who is interested in taking on increasing responsibility over time with the possibility of moving into a management role. 

Responsibilities 

  • Welcome customers and accept décor and furniture items for sale in the showroom. 
  • Respond to emails and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Research pricing and market value of second-hand furniture and home décor. 
  • Stage and rearrange furniture and décor throughout the showroom. 
  • Assist with general showroom organization and daily operations. 
  • Support a positive shopping experience by maintaining an attractive, well-organized retail environment. 
Qualifications: 

 
  • Positive, friendly, and outgoing personality. 
  • Honest, dependable, and able to work independently. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and switching between tasks as needed. 
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; heavier items can be moved using sliders and dollies. 
  • Must be available to work Saturdays. 
  • Retail experience. 
  • Interest in home décor, interior design, or furniture. 
  • An eye for design and merchandising. 
  • Experience with social media platforms is an asset.
