Part-Time
Normal hours will vary and may be from no hours up to twenty-four (24) hours per week, dependent upon the programming schedule, and may include early morning, day, evening, weekend, or holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary as there may be the occasional requirement to attend functions outside of normal work hours, change shifts, or to work extra hours as needed. |

Lifeguard/Instructors are more than great swimmers – they are water rescue professionals continuously training in emergency care. They prevent accidents and educate the public about the hazards and risks associated with aquatic activities and how to be safe around water. Candidates that possess NLS certification and are willing to obtain Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor and/or Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor within the first three (3) months of employment are encouraged to apply! The Opportunity Experienced Lifeguard/Instructors may be trained to become Head Lifeguard/Instructors who assist in the preparation, execution, and supervision of all aquatic-related programs. In the absence of the Senior Lifeguard/Instructor, Aquatics Supervisor, and Recreation Services Manager, the Head Lifeguard/Instructor is responsible for the direct supervision of the aquatics team. The Head Lifeguard/Instructor will also perform regular lifeguarding and instructional duties. |
